Hello All,
The workouts with Pro riders Bart Brentjens and Tim Wijnants were very good for me...
Last Week I won the Taunustrails Marathon..
And today I rode a 6 hours race on a XC course.. 3k with some climbs and nice technical Down hills as I like :)
The loose sand.. made it also hard to ride... but we are Mountainbikers.. and not roadies!!!

At the start a young rider went for the Victory.. riding so hard.. then i thought wow if he will do this for 6hours then he most be very good..

After 2hours I went past him... but my luck was not on my side at the moment, my chain broke.. and so i had to take a walk.
my luck was that i had a new chain in my bags... so i made the bike and went on in a 3th position!
the front guy was now more that 5 minutes riding a head of me... my chain didn't work as well on my sprocket ..only had my light gears and heavy gears..
and after 2 rounds off suffering.. i thought of ending the race.. but i went on.. and after riding for a hours more.. the chain was a bit better!

the gap was about 3minutes 1.30hours to go.. I closed the gap with 1hours less to go..
and I was leader again!! and moved on... with in 30minutes I lapped the second man in the race!!!
I won the race with 38 laps did 115k with 2578hm (FT climbing) burned 7000 cal ....did 5 laps less then the winning 4men team..

Nürburgring

Last weekend i did a 24hour race as a Guestrider for the Trek-Brentjens Mountainbike racing Team (Bart Brentjens)
on Friday we went to the Nürburgring to take a look at the circuit and ride a bit..
On Saturday at 12.45 started the race .. over a 7k course with 160 hm
there where some steep climbs on this race.. and nice down hills  wit switchbacks :) nice in the dark!!

the strongest competition was from the Bulls team Bulls was also mean sponsor so ,... they wanted to win this thing..
but after all those hours of riding it came to a sprint!!
Bart won the Sprint against Stefan Sahm.. 

Celebrating...! Glorious win for Trek Brentjens Mountainbike Racing Team in 24 hour race on Nurburg Ring. After riding for 24 hour constantly Brentjens and Sahm from Bulls team had to do a spectacular sprint that was powerfully won by Brentjens. The team , with Brentjens, Pietersma, Wynants and guestrider Jean Biermans, did their first 24 hour race. A super experience with 10.000 athletes and massive spectators.
